HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
I have enjoyed photography and art since leaving college however I shot my first wedding in August 2013 thanks to a chance encounter on a holiday abroad. I passed my details on to a couple who weren't even going to have a photographer at all! They got in touch with me a few weeks after meeting and I shot my first ever wedding in Kent, thanks to Emma and Chris!
Since then I’ve photographed weddings in lots of different venues, in different weather and lighting conditions. I’ve seen weddings of all sizes and shapes and styles.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
My packages include travel within roughly 50 miles of radius of Darwen (that covers all of Manchester, Lancashire, into Cheshire, the Lakes and even the occasional drive into Yorkshire.) I do cover weddings UK wide but travelling and accommodation expenses may be added to the package price depending on distance. If you getting married outside of my normal areas and would like a quotation please do get in touch.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance. This is really important – whoever you decide to use for your day – make sure they are fully insured.
ARE ALL THE IMAGES EDITED?
After the wedding date I will go through all the images I have taken to choose the keepers. The final selection of images you receive are all edited to my high standards. This includes cropping, exposure, sharpening and colour correcting. Then the images receive my final ‘artistic edit’. I do not airbrush or manipulate images in photoshop. The majority of the images will be presented in colour and black and white.
DO YOU OFFER BESPOKE PACKAGES?
I certainly do. I can offer shorter coverage, longer coverage or multi day packages depending on dates and availability. Just get in touch with some more information and I’ll send you a bespoke quotation. Please be aware that I may not always be able to offer shorter coverage on prime dates or weddings more than 6 months away.
CAN WE MEET BEFORE WE BOOK?
Yes absolutely. I’m available for weekday, evening and the occasional weekend appointments. If you can’t get to me we can always arrange a Skype or Facetime call, or just have a good old chat on the telephone.
WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS?
Once you’ve decided you’d like me for your wedding there’s a contract to read and sign, a booking form and a non -refundable £200 deposit is required to secure your date. Once your deposit and booking form is back with me I’ll confirm the date is all yours. Then I’ll be back in touch about 6 weeks before the wedding to run through all the final details and resolve any queries you may have.
WHAT IF YOU’RE ILL?
I promise I will try very hard not to be ill on or before your wedding day but sometimes these things are out of our control. Thankfully it hasn’t happened yet. You have my assurances that only something very serious would keep me away from your wedding but in such an event I have a wonderful network of talented photographer friends who I can call upon in an emergency. All my network are full time professional photographers and if an emergency or sudden illness occurred they’d be able to take over from me as the primary shooter on the day.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?
I don’t limit the number of images you receive. A low estimate is 350 images for a full day wedding. It is often much higher than this depending on what is happening on the day.
HOW LONG UNTIL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
I know the wedding excitement is real! So within a few short days of your wedding I’ll be sending you a little sneak peek of around 25 images. Within 6 – 8 weeks of your wedding your full set of images will be ready to view and download from your personal online gallery.
HOW DO I GET MY IMAGES?
I use USBs and Online storage. I'll deliver your final set of images through a private online gallery. You have the option of sharing the gallery link with whoever you wish. You (and whoever you share the gallery with) has unlimited access to the images, unlimited rights to download and reproduce for personal usage. I guarantee that the gallery will be live for a minimum of 12 months after you receive it and I’ll offer you lots of tips about how to download and store your images safely.
I hope I’ve answered some of the questions you’ve been wondering about but if you have any more or you’d like to arrange a chat about your day please visit the Contact page and get in touch.
